Teaching Personnel is delighted to be partnering with a warm and welcoming primary school in Blackpool. We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurture Teaching Assistant to support a child in Year 6 with SEMH requirements.

About the Role:

As a Nurture Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in providing tailored support to a child with SEMH needs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building a strong rapport with the child to foster a trusting and supportive relationship.
  • Implementing nurturing strategies to promote emotional well-being and social development.
  • Assisting the child in accessing the curriculum, adapting activities as necessary to meet their individual needs.
  • Collaborating closely with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure a holistic approach to the child's education and welfare.
  • Monitoring and recording the child's progress, providing feedback to the relevant stakeholders as required.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
  • A compassionate and patient approach, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in education or child development are advantageous.
