Teaching personnel
Teaching personnel are currently seeking enthusiastic, caring and committed Pastoral Team member to support secondary schools across Northampton and surrounding areas.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people and helping them overcome barriers to learning, develop positive relationships and achieve their full potential.
The role-
As a Pastoral Team member, you will
- Provide day -to- day pastoral and emotional support to students.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with young people.
- Support students with their behaviour, attendance, and engagement.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, pastoral leaders, SEN staff, and families where appropriate.
- Help students develop confidence, resilience, and positive social skills.
- Support students who may experience challenges both inside and outside of school.
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and positive school environment.
We're looking for.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Experience working with children or young people in a school, youth, care or community setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A calm, patient, and approachable manner.
- The ability to build positive relationships with students.
- Confidence supporting students with behavioural or emotional needs.
- A genuine commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.
Previous school experience is desirable, but transferable experience and the right attitude are also highly valued.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
