Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated primary teacher looking for a rewarding part‑time role? A welcoming and well‑resourced primary school in the PR3 area of Preston is seeking a Year 2 Teacher to join their team from April 2026, continuing through to the end of the academic year.

  • Teaching a Year 2 class each afternoon, Monday to Friday
  • Delivering engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum
  • Working collaboratively with the class teacher and wider KS1 team to support pupil progress
  • Providing a positive, nurturing learning environment

This is a friendly, supportive school with a strong community ethos. The leadership team is committed to ensuring staff feel valued and supported, and pupils are motivated, well‑behaved, and eager to learn.

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Recent experience teaching within KS1 (Year 2 experience desirable)
  • Strong behaviour management and effective classroom practice
  • Able to commit to 5 afternoons per week for the duration of the contract
