Part-Time SENDCo – Primary School
Location: Orrell
Start Date: October 2026

A welcoming primary school in Orrell is looking to appoint a knowledgeable and committed SENDCo to join their team on a part-time basis from October 2026.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the development of inclusive provision across the school, ensuring that pupils with additional needs are effectively supported both academically and socially.

About the Role:
The successful candidate will take responsibility for coordinating SEND provision, working closely with teaching staff, families, and external agencies to deliver high-quality, individualised support. You will play a central role in promoting inclusive practice and driving positive outcomes for pupils with a range of needs.

Key Duties:

  • Lead and organise SEND provision throughout the school.
  • Develop, review, and maintain EHCPs and targeted support plans.
  • Work alongside class teachers to embed inclusive strategies in the classroom.
  • Track and evaluate the progress of pupils with additional needs.
  • Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals.
  • Support and advise staff to enhance SEND understanding and practice.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience supporting children with diverse SEND needs.
  • Up-to-date understanding of SEND guidance and frameworks.
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • A thoughtful, proactive approach to supporting pupils and staff.
