We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our friendly and supportive primary school on a part-time basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate education professional who is committed to helping children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. The successful candidate will work across the primary age range, supporting teaching and learning, delivering interventions, and leading whole-class sessions in the absence of the class teacher.

Salary: £15.25 - £16.50 per hour
Hours: Part-Time (3 x afternoons and 1 x full day)
Contract Type: Long-term
Start Date: Tuesday 1st September 2026

Key Responsibilities

-          Deliver high-quality learning activities across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

-          Lead whole-class teaching in planned lessons when required.

-          Support pupils of all abilities to achieve their full potential.

-          Deliver targeted intervention programmes in literacy, numeracy and other curriculum areas.

-          Work collaboratively with teachers to plan, prepare and evaluate learning activities.

-          Support pupils with additional learning needs and ensure inclusion for all.

-          Contribute to assessment and monitoring of pupil progress.

-          Promote positive behaviour and high expectations throughout the school.

-          Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

-          Holds a recognised HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.

-          Has previous experience working within a primary school setting.

-          Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

-          Is confident leading groups and whole classes independently.

-          Has a sound understanding of the primary curriculum.

-          Is adaptable, organised, and proactive.

-          Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

-          Has a positive, nurturing approach and a genuine passion for education.
