Part-Time Teaching Assistant – Primary School, Hindley

Monay – Friday (8:30 – 1pm)

A welcoming and supportive primary school in the Hindley area is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join their team on a part-time basis. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with pupils across KS1 or KS2, providing targeted support to enhance learning outcomes.

The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher to deliver small group interventions, support classroom activities, and help create an inclusive learning environment for all pupils.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting teaching and learning within the classroom
  • Delivering small group and 1:1 interventions in English and Maths
  • Assisting with classroom preparation and behaviour management
  • Supporting pupils with additional needs where required

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a primary school setting
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach
