Outreach Support Worker / Learning Support Assistant
SEMH School, Portsmouth
September ASAP start

Academics are seeking an Outreach Support Worker / Learning Support Assistant to join an SEMH/SEN school in Portsmouth to start in September on a full-time contract. There is the possibility of a permanent position for the right person.

You MUST have your own vehicle and a full driving licence. Travel mileage is paid.

You will be required to work on a 1:1 and small group basis with students who are not able to attend school so are taught remotely. These pupils are linked with a successful SEMH school in Portsmouth which caters for students from KS2 - KS4 with social, emotional and mental health needs.

The successful Outreach Support Worker / Learning Support Assistant will have previous experience of working with children, ideally those with SEN or SEMH. If you have worked remotely on a 1:1 basis and enjoy the variety that brings, this role is ideal for you.

You will be encouraging, motivating, empathetic yet firm and be able to support the students with their lessons.

If you have worked as an Outreach Support Worker or Learning Support Assistant before that would be ideal. Having worked in schools in a supporting role, or in residential as a support worker is essential.

If you are an Outreach Support Worker, Homeschooling Mentor, Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant and would like to be considered for this position, please apply by sending us a copy of your updated CV.
