Role Overview:

Teaching Personnel are recruiting an Outdoor Education Specialist for a specialist school in Stoke-on-Trent.

This exciting role involves leading and facilitating outdoor learning activities, helping students build confidence, resilience, teamwork and independence through practical experiences outside the classroom.

Applications are welcomed from qualified teachers, instructors, outdoor education professionals and individuals with relevant experience working with young people.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead outdoor activities including hiking, walking, gardening and adventure-based learning.
  • Promote student engagement, wellbeing and personal development.
  • Ensure activities are delivered safely and effectively.
  • Support students with varying learning and behavioural needs.
  • Work collaboratively with school staff to deliver positive outcomes.

Ideal Candidate:

  • QTS desirable but not essential.
  • Experience leading outdoor education activities.
  • Confident working with children and young people.
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
  • Enthusiastic, resilient and proactive.

To Be Eligible for This Role Through Teaching Personnel, You Must:

  • Hold the right to work in the UK.
