Supply Desk is seeking a caring, enthusiastic and qualified Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join a welcoming and nurturing nursery setting in Watford. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young children's early development and creating engaging learning experiences in a safe, stimulating environment.

Working as part of a dedicated early years team, you will play a key role in supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing, helping them build the confidence and skills they need to thrive. You will work closely with colleagues and parents to ensure every child receives high-quality care and achieves the best possible start in their educational journey.

Key Duties:

  • Deliver high-quality care and learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Plan and support engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote children's learning and development.
  • Build positive, nurturing relationships with children to encourage confidence, independence and social development.
  • Observe, assess and record children's progress, contributing to learning journals and development records.
  • Support children's personal, social and emotional development through play-based learning.
  • Maintain a safe, stimulating and inclusive nursery environment that promotes children's wellbeing.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to support each child's individual needs and development.
  • Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies and procedures at all times.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • A Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent) recognised in the UK.
  • Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting.
  • A strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach to supporting young children.
  • A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team while building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
