Nursery Nurse needed at a Nursery School in Formby

We are currently seeking a dedicated Nursery Nurse to join our team at our nursery school located in Fomby. As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Job Duties:

  • Creating a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
  • Planning and implementing age-appropriate activities and educational programmes.
  • Supporting children's physical, emotional, and social development.
  • Assisting with personal care routines, including feeding, changing nappies, and toilet training.
  • Observing and monitoring children's progress and development.
  • Working collaboratively with parents and guardians to ensure the well-being of each child.
  • Supervising and engaging children during indoor and outdoor play.
  • Promoting positive behaviour and discipline.
  • Assisting the Nursery Room Leader and teaching team as required.
  • Implementing phonics, numeracy, reading, and writing activities.
  • Providing support to the teaching staff as a Teaching Assistant.

Required Qualifications:

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Early Years Practitioner Level 2 qualification.
  • Early Years Practitioner Level 3 qualification.

Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • Strong understanding and knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Previous experience working as a Nursery Nurse or in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively plan and deliver age-appropriate activities.
  • Good understanding of phonics, numeracy, and early literacy skills.
  • Basic knowledge of child development and behaviour management.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional relevant childcare qualifications.
  • First Aid certification.
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
