Supply Desk is working closely with a warm, welcoming primary school in Amersham who are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Nursery / EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team on a full-time basis.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about early childhood development and supporting young children to grow in confidence, independence, and curiosity.

About the Role

You will work closely with the class teacher and Early Years team to support children aged 3–5 within Nursery or Reception. Your role will be vital in creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe learning environment where children can thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting children’s learning through play-based and structured activities
• Assisting with daily routines, including phonics, reading, and early numeracy
• Encouraging positive behaviour, independence, and social development
• Supporting children with personal care where required
• Helping set up engaging learning environments indoors and outdoors
• Building warm, positive relationships with children and staff

Who This Role Suits:

This role is ideal for someone who is patient, nurturing, and passionate about Early Years education. You may be:

• An aspiring teacher or Early Years practitioner
• An experienced EYFS / Nursery TA
• A graduate or childcare professional looking to work in schools

You’ll be a great fit if you:

• Have experience working with young children (school or nursery setting preferred)
• Are enthusiastic, caring, and proactive
• Understand the importance of early childhood development
• Are reliable and able to commit to a full‑time role
• Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years (desirable but not essential)
