Are you an experienced Nursery Practitioner or Early Years professional looking for a role where you can make a real difference?

We are recruiting for five Nursery Assistant vacancies within a specialist SEND setting in Yeovil. These are permanent positions directly with the school, with both full-time and part-time options available. Teaching Personnel will support you through the recruitment process and help you secure an interview with the school.

You will support young children with profound and additional needs, helping them access learning, develop key skills and enjoy a safe and positive nursery experience.

• Supporting children individually and within small groups.
• Helping with communication, interaction and early development.
• Providing a nurturing and structured environment.
• Assisting children with personal care where required.
• Following individual support plans and adapting activities around each child's needs.
• Working closely with teachers, support staff and other professionals.
• Celebrating progress and encouraging greater independence.

With five vacancies available, we are keen to hear from experienced people who are ready for a long-term career within specialist education.

Previous experience working with children with SEND, profound needs or within an Early Years environment is important. We need confident, compassionate practitioners who can hit the ground running and become a reliable part of the team.

Experience or knowledge of British Sign Language (BSL) would also be highly beneficial due to the communication needs of some children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
