Nursery Assistant - Early Years Setting

Contract: Full-time / Part-time / Permanent
Pay: £14.25 - £15 per hour

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join a supportive early years setting within a welcoming primary school in Newhaven. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about working with young children and looking to build a career in early years education.

This nurturing and inclusive primary school offers a vibrant early years environment where children are supported to learn, explore, and develop through play. With a strong focus on wellbeing, creativity, and early development, the setting provides a safe and engaging space where every child is encouraged to thrive. Staff work collaboratively to create a positive atmosphere, supporting both children and each other.

• Support the care and development of children aged 0-5
• Help create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment
• Assist with daily routines, play-based learning, and personal care
• Support children's emotional, social, and developmental needs
• Work closely with staff to maintain high standards of care and safeguarding

• A genuine passion for working with young children
• A warm, patient, and positive attitude
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Reliability and willingness to learn
• No formal childcare qualification required - full training provided
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
