Role: Music Teacher

Contract: Full-time – Temporary to Permanent

Salary: £29,344 – £44,919

- Deliver engaging and high-quality Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential).
- Plan and deliver a broad and balanced Music curriculum, including performance, composition, listening skills, and music theory.
- Inspire creativity, confidence, and self-expression among students through practical and theoretical music learning.
- Organise and contribute to extracurricular music clubs, performances, concerts, and school events.
- Encourage participation and inclusion for students of all abilities and musical backgrounds.
- Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment, ensuring health and safety procedures are followed when using instruments and equipment.
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and promote a positive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support student achievement and wellbeing.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Experience teaching Music at secondary level is preferred.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for music education and performance.
- Ability to engage and motivate students with diverse abilities and interests.
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Willingness to contribute to extracurricular activities, performances, and school events.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Holds (or is willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS check and professional references.
