  • Deliver engaging and high-quality Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential).
  • Plan and deliver a broad and balanced Music curriculum, including performance, composition, listening skills, and music theory.
  • Inspire creativity, confidence, and self-expression among students through practical and theoretical music learning.
  • Organise and contribute to extracurricular music clubs, performances, concerts, and school events.
  • Encourage participation and inclusion for students of all abilities and musical backgrounds.
  • Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment, ensuring health and safety procedures are followed when using instruments and equipment.
  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and promote a positive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support student achievement and wellbeing.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Experience teaching Music at secondary level is preferred.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for music education and performance.
  • Ability to engage and motivate students with diverse abilities and interests.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Willingness to contribute to extracurricular activities, performances, and school events.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Holds (or is willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS check and professional references.
