Are you a passionate and dedicated MFL (Modern Foreign Languages) Teacher seeking a fulfilling role? Teaching Personnel is pleased to present a full-time position for an MFL Teacher at an Ofsted Good secondary school in Denton. This role is available to start in September for the full academic year, with the potential for permanency based on performance. The salary for this role is £30,000 to £46,525 per annum, in line with PayScale.

Role Overview:

As an MFL Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate students in the study of foreign languages, fostering their linguistic abilities and cultural understanding. You will play a crucial role in planning, delivering, and assessing MFL lessons in accordance with the national curriculum, ensuring that all students receive a high-quality language education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Delivery: Prepare and deliver engaging and interactive MFL lessons that cover various aspects of language learning, including grammar, vocabulary, speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
  • Language Proficiency: Teach one or more foreign languages, such as French, Spanish, German, or others, depending on your expertise and the school's requirements.
  • Cultural Awareness: Introduce students to the culture, traditions, and customs of the countries where the language(s) you teach are spoken, promoting cultural appreciation and global awareness.
  • Differentiated Instruction: Tailor your teaching methods to accommodate the diverse learning needs and abilities of students, providing appropriate support and challenge to ensure their progress.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Regularly assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their language development.
  • Behaviour Management: Establish a positive and inclusive learning environment by implementing effective behaviour management strategies that promote respect, engagement, and participation.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues within the MFL department and across the school to share best practices, resources, and ideas for enhancing language teaching and learning.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge and proficiency in one or more foreign languages, along with a genuine passion for language teaching and learning.
  • Previous experience teaching MFL at the secondary level, preferably within a UK school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students of diverse backgrounds.
  • Commitment to promoting language proficiency, cultural understanding, and global citizenship among students.
