Are you a Psychology graduate passionate about supporting young people's mental health and wellbeing?

A specialist school in Maidenhead is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join their team. This role is ideal for Psychology graduates and aspiring Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Counsellors, Therapists, or Mental Health Professionals looking to gain valuable, hands-on experience supporting young people with a range of mental health and additional needs.

As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group emotional and wellbeing support to young people.
  • Help students develop confidence, resilience, emotional regulation, and independence.
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with students, providing reassurance and encouragement.
  • Support students who may experience anxiety, low mood, emotional difficulties, or challenges with behaviour.
  • Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.

We're looking for a Mental Health Support Worker who is:

  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic.
  • Passionate about supporting young people's mental health and wellbeing.
