A fantastic Secondary School in Slough is looking for a caring, patient, and motivated Mental Health Support Worker to join their student support team.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates and individuals with experience working with young people who are looking to develop practical experience in mental health, wellbeing, psychology, counselling, social care, or education.

The Role

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students.
  * Support students with their emotional wellbeing and mental health needs.
  * Build positive and trusting relationships with young people.
  * Help students develop confidence, resilience, and positive coping strategies.
  * Support students experiencing anxiety, emotional difficulties, or barriers to learning.

What We're Looking For

• A caring, patient, and empathetic approach.
  * A genuine interest in supporting young people's mental health and wellbeing.
  * Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  * The ability to build positive relationships with young people.
  * Psychology, Health & Social Care, Criminology, or related qualifications are beneficial.
  * Previous experience working with young people is beneficial but not essential.

Job Title: Mental Health Support Worker

Setting: SEN School
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: £93-£110 per day
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
