Teaching Personnel are working with a welcoming primary school in Exeter who are seeking a dedicated Mealtime Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to contribute to a safe, positive and enjoyable lunchtime environment.

As a Mealtime Assistant, you will support pupils during lunchtime, helping to ensure their safety, wellbeing and enjoyment while promoting positive behaviour and social interaction.

  • Working during lunchtime on a term-time only basis
  • Supervising pupils in the dining hall and outdoor areas
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and social interactions
  • Supporting children during meal times where required
  • Promoting a safe and inclusive environment
  • Assisting with playground supervision and activities
  • Managing minor incidents and reporting concerns to relevant staff
  • Working as part of a supportive school team
  • Experience working with children is desirable but not essential
  • Friendly, approachable and patient manner
  • Strong communication skills
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Able to promote positive behaviour and inclusion
  • Enjoys working as part of a team
