Maths Tutor - Wokingham Suitable to NQT

Quantum Scholars are working closely with a Pupil Referral Unit in Wokingham that is seeking experienced Maths Tutors to deliver 1:1, in-person tuition for students accessing Alternative Provision or Education Otherwise Than At School.

We receive regular referrals for Maths tuition throughout the week, typically spanning five days, with around 2-3 hours per day. However, both days and hours are flexible and can be arranged to suit your availability.

Many of the students we support have additional needs, including SEND, SEMH, autism, ADHD, behavioural challenges, or medical conditions. Experience working with SEND is essential for this role.

Role Overview:

• Deliver 1:1 Maths tuition to pupils outside of mainstream school settings
• Flexible, part-time opportunities to fit around your schedule
• Sessions take place during school hours, so daytime availability is required (approximately between 9:00am and 3:00pm)
• Roles are available across Wokingham and surrounding areas in Berkshire
• Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons tailored to each learner's individual needs

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable
• Experience supporting pupils with additional needs (e.g. autism, SEMH)
• Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Right to work in the UK!
• Strong experience delivering Maths tuition
• Ability to travel to Wokingham and nearby areas for in-person sessions
