Smile Education are currently working with a welcoming secondary school in the Cannock area who are looking to appoint a dedicated Maths Teacher.

The school also offers a range of enrichment opportunities, educational visits, extra-curricular activities and careers experiences, providing students with a varied and engaging education.
Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare and mark engaging Maths lessons in line with school expectations.
  • Deliver high-quality Maths teaching across the secondary age range.
  • Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment.
  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of SEND pupils and those requiring additional support.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Maths department.
  • Teach Maths up to GCSE level, with A Level teaching available where required.
The School Are Looking For
  • An ECT or fully qualified Maths Teacher.
  • Previous experience teaching Maths within a UK secondary school.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a secure understanding of the Maths curriculum.
  • Experience teaching Maths at GCSE level and familiarity with examination requirements.
  • A confident, professional and engaging approach to teaching.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • A reliable, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to supporting student progress.
  • The ability to motivate students and develop their confidence and understanding of Mathematics.
