Teaching Personnel are currently working with a mainstream secondary school in Sturminster Newton who are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join their team from September 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated teacher who enjoys making Mathematics accessible and engaging, while supporting students to build confidence, develop their problem-solving skills and achieve their academic potential.

As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for:

• Delivering well-planned and engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4.

• Creating a supportive classroom environment that encourages students to participate and succeed.

• Adapting teaching and learning to meet the needs of students with different abilities.

• Monitoring attainment and progress through effective assessment.

• Providing clear and constructive feedback to help students improve.

• Promoting high standards of behaviour, effort and achievement.

• Working closely with colleagues to contribute to the continued development of the Maths department.

The successful candidate will ideally:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

• Have experience teaching Maths within a secondary school environment.

• Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Mathematics.

• Have effective classroom and behaviour management skills.

• Be able to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities.

• Have a flexible, professional and positive approach.

• Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
