Teaching Personnel are currently working with a mainstream secondary school in Sturminster Newton who are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join their team from September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated teacher who enjoys making Mathematics accessible and engaging, while supporting students to build confidence, develop their problem-solving skills and achieve their academic potential.
As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for:
Delivering well-planned and engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4.
Creating a supportive classroom environment that encourages students to participate and succeed.
Adapting teaching and learning to meet the needs of students with different abilities.
Monitoring attainment and progress through effective assessment.
Providing clear and constructive feedback to help students improve.
Promoting high standards of behaviour, effort and achievement.
Working closely with colleagues to contribute to the continued development of the Maths department.
The successful candidate will ideally:
Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Have experience teaching Maths within a secondary school environment.
Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Mathematics.
Have effective classroom and behaviour management skills.
Be able to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities.
Have a flexible, professional and positive approach.
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
