A welcoming secondary school in Weymouth is looking to appoint a passionate Maths Teacher to join its dedicated team from September. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact in a school that prides itself on delivering excellent education within a supportive and inclusive environment.

You'll teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4, planning and delivering engaging lessons that encourage students to develop confidence, resilience, and strong mathematical skills. Key Stage 5 teaching may also be available depending on experience.

The Role

As a Maths Teacher, you will

-  Deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons that engage, challenge, and inspire learners.

-  Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum.

- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement.

- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and wellbeing.

- Differentiate teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and learning styles.

- Contribute to the wider school community and support extracurricular opportunities where appropriate.

- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for students.

What We Are Looking For

The successful candidate will have:

- A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, QTLS, or equivalent).

- Experience teaching Mathematics within a secondary school setting.

- Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Maths education.

- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.

- The ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to teaching and learning.

- Flexibility, resilience, and the ability to adapt lessons to meet individual student needs.

- An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service, or a willingness to apply for one.
