Location: Darlington Secondary School 

Start date: September 2026

Salary: Pay to scale from day to reflect MPS/UPS3 

Teaching Personnel are recruiting a passionate and adaptable Maths Teacher for autumn term cover at a local secondary school in Darlington. This position is running until Christmas intially, with the outlook to April 2027. 

The Role

• Deliver engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment
• Follow lesson plans and provide feedback and marking where required

Who We're Looking For

• Qualified Maths Teacher (QTS or working towards)
• ECTs/NQTs are very welcome - induction hours can be completed through us
• Confident classroom presence and strong subject knowledge
• Reliable, professional, and adaptable
• Up-to-date DBS or willingness to obtain one, plus satisfactory background screening

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
