Supply Desk are currently seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Maths Teacher to join a well-regarded secondary school in the Hemel Hempstead area from September.
This exciting full-time opportunity is ideal for an educator who is passionate about Mathematics and dedicated to helping students develop confidence and achievement in the subject. The school is looking for an individual who can deliver engaging and challenging lessons, encourage a positive attitude towards learning, and support students in reaching their full academic potential.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience. You will assess and monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of learners with varying abilities.
Working as part of a collaborative and supportive department, you will contribute to curriculum development, share best practice with colleagues, and take an active role in the wider life of the school. Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons across relevant key stages
• Track, assess, and report on student progress and attainment
• Liaise with parents/carers regarding student achievement and development
• Contribute to intervention programmes, enrichment opportunities, and extracurricular activities
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver outstanding educational outcomes
Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching Mathematics within a secondary school setting
• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Maths education
• Excellent classroom management skills
• Commitment to inclusive teaching and learning practices
• Knowledge/Maintenance/Promotion of safeguarding
