The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join the school from September 2026.
This role is suitable for both ECTs looking for a supportive start to their teaching career and experienced Maths teachers seeking a collaborative, well‑resourced department with strong leadership.
You will deliver high‑quality Maths lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping students develop confidence, problem‑solving skills, and a deep understanding of mathematical concepts.
Key Responsibilities
Teach engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4 that build fluency, reasoning, and problem‑solving.
Plan and deliver curriculum‑aligned schemes of work that support progress for learners of all abilities.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that reflects the school’s behaviour expectations and values.
Contribute to departmental development through collaboration and sharing of best practice.
Support numeracy initiatives and wider school enrichment that strengthen students’ confidence and enjoyment of Maths.
Uphold the school’s ethos of ambition, kindness, and community.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Degree in Mathematics or a related discipline.
Experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4 (ECTs with placement experience welcome).
Strong subject knowledge and understanding of curriculum expectations.
Excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills.
A commitment to developing confident, resilient, and motivated young mathematicians.
