Location: Secondary school in Southampton Start Date: September Contract: Long-Term or Permanent Pay Range: £168 – £250 per day (dependent on experience) Working Hours: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm (flexible for part-time applicants)

A 11–16 secondary school in Southampton is seeking a Maths Teacher to join their Mathematics department from September. This opportunity is open to both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers, with full-time or part-time options available.

You will teach Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4, contributing to a department that values high expectations, structured learning, and strong progress for all students. The school places a strong emphasis on Respect, Pride, Creativity and Challenge, creating a warm, ambitious and supportive environment where staff and students work together as a community.

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Prepare students for GCSE Maths through clear explanations and structured practice
  • Use assessment to track progress and inform teaching
  • Establish strong routines and promote positive behaviour for learning
  • Contribute to curriculum planning, intervention, and enrichment opportunities
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the department and wider school
