About the Role
Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in Hastings to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Fully Qualified Teacher of Mathematics. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated educator to join a supportive department committed to delivering high-quality teaching and strong student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, supporting progress and attainment
- Monitor, assess, and report on student performance in line with school policies
- Contribute to the development of the Maths curriculum and departmental resources
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning
- Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
- Proven experience teaching Mathematics up to Key Stage 4
- Experience teaching Key Stage 5 is desirable but not essential
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Mathematics education
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
