Teaching Personnel is delighted to announce an excellent full-time opportunity for a dedicated Maths Teacher at an Ofsted Good, diverse secondary school in Denton. This role commences in September and spans the full academic year, with the potential for a permanent position based on performance. The pay for this role is in line with PayScale (£30,000 - £46,525).

Role Overview:

As a Maths Teacher, you will play a crucial role in nurturing students' understanding and appreciation of mathematics. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality Maths lessons, ensuring that each student reaches their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Maths lessons that align with the national curriculum and examination board specifications, addressing the diverse learning needs of students.

  • Student Engagement: Foster a stimulating classroom environment that encourages active participation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in mathematics.

  • Assessment and Feedback: Regularly assess students' progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to promote their academic growth and achievement.

  • Support and Guidance: Offer academic and pastoral support to students, helping them navigate any challenges and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

  • Professional Development: Stay abreast of the latest educational practices and developments in mathematics teaching, participating in professional development opportunities and collaborating with colleagues.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification with a specialism in Mathematics.

  • Passion for teaching mathematics and a commitment to inspiring and motivating students to achieve their best.

  • Experience teaching Maths at the secondary level, with a thorough understanding of the national curriculum and assessment requirements.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and connect with students from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.

  • Enthusiasm for incorporating innovative teaching methods and resources, including digital technologies, to enhance students' learning experiences.
