Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join our secondary school in Daventry. As a Mathematics Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a love for mathematics and promoting academic achievement.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and challenging mathematics lessons in accordance with the school's curriculum and policies.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students, including those with special educational needs.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to ensure student engagement and understanding.
  • Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to students and parents/guardians.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavior.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events as required.
  • Uphold the school's values and ethos, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge in mathematics, with a degree in Mathematics or a related field.
  • Previous experience teaching mathematics at Key Stages 3 and 4, preferably in a secondary school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to engage in ongoing training and learning.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to the wider school community.
  • A passion for mathematics education and a desire to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
