Position: Maths Teacher - SEN

Location: Doncaster

Contract: Temp, Ongoing

Pay: £140 - £200 per day (Dependent on experience, training, qualifications, paid via PAYE, inclusive of holiday pay)

The Role

The role is for a Maths Teacher - SEN working in various SEN settings, providing engaging, inclusive and supportive lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils. You will play a key role in helping students develop their mathematical knowledge, confidence and wider learning skills, while creating a safe and positive classroom environment.

You will be working with pupils who may have a range of additional needs, so the ability to adapt your teaching style, build positive relationships and respond effectively to individual learning needs is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons that are accessible to pupils with a range of SEN needs.
• Differentiate learning activities to meet individual abilities, needs and learning styles.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils, encouraging confidence and participation.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching where appropriate.
• Promote positive behaviour and maintain a safe, supportive learning environment.
• Follow individual education plans and relevant safeguarding and school policies.

The Ideal Candidate

A qualified, experienced Maths Teacher who is passionate about education and training, and supporting children with additional needs. Experience working within an SEN environment is desirable.

You will ideally have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Strong subject knowledge in Maths.
• A patient, adaptable and nurturing approach to education and training.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• The flexibility to work across different SEN settings in Doncaster and South Yorkshire.
