KS3 Maths & English Tutor - Chorlton

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Maths & English Tutor to join our team starting in September. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing academic support to KS3 secondary school students who are struggling to adjust from primary school to secondary.  

The tutor will support in both Maths and English subjects and will work closely with students to enhance their understanding and foster a love for learning.

This role will run part-time from September until July 2025. The successful tutor should be able to commit to around 4 hours per week in school.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Maths and English
  • Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions
  • Assess students’ learning needs and develop personalized learning plans
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Collaborate with teachers to align tutoring sessions with classroom curriculum

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, English, Education, or related field
  • Previous experience in tutoring or teaching Maths and English
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students

Requirements:

  • Valid DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service)
  • Ability to commit to the position starting in September
