Are you an experienced and passionate Maths & English Tutor with SEN experience looking for a rewarding opportunity in Chesterfield?

We are looking for a dedicated tutor to provide personalised tuition in Maths and English while supporting a student with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

  • Deliver engaging and personalised Maths and English tuition.

  • Support students working towards their academic goals.

  • Adapt lessons and teaching strategies to meet individual SEN needs.

  • Build confidence and encourage positive engagement with learning.

  • Support students with their core Maths and English skills.

  • Use positive behaviour-management strategies where required.

  • Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback.

  • Work closely with the school and wider support team.

  • Previous experience teaching or tutoring Maths and English.

  • SEN experience is essential.

  • Strong subject knowledge, particularly at Primary/Secondary level.

  • Experience providing personalised or 1:1 tuition is desirable.

  • Excellent communication and behaviour-management skills.

  • QTS or relevant teaching/tutoring qualifications are desirable.

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

  • Right to work in the UK.
