As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the classroom teacher in delivering high-quality education to our students. You will work closely with both students and teachers to provide academic, emotional, and behavioral support. Your responsibilities will include assisting with lesson planning, implementing educational activities, providing one-on-one support to students, and helping to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the classroom teacher to plan and deliver engaging lessons and activities.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional assistance.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
  • Support students with their social and emotional development, promoting positive behavior and self-esteem.
  • Help to create a safe and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and respected.
  • Assist with the assessment and tracking of student progress, providing feedback to both students and teachers.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working in a similar role within an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • A patient and empathetic approach to working with children, particularly those with additional needs.
  • A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in the classroom.
  • A willingness to undergo relevant training and development opportunities as required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
