A Level 3 Teaching Assistant is currently required for a temporary position in Normanton, West Yorkshire. This full-time role is within the Education and Training industry.

  • Supporting the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and educational activities
  • Assisting with the planning and preparation of teaching materials
  • Providing one-on-one support to students with special educational needs or learning difficulties
  • Helping students with their classwork and assignments
  • Supervising students during break times and other activities
  • Assisting with the maintenance of a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Observing and recording student progress and behaviour
  • Collaborating with other staff members and parents to support students' educational development
  • A minimum of Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance
  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting

Completion of a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is required.

Prior experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting is necessary.

  • Strong understanding of the national curriculum
  • Ability to provide effective support to students with special educational needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organisational and time management abilities
  • Patience and empathy when working with students
  • Additional qualifications related to special educational needs
  • First Aid certification

This is a temporary position, expected to work full-time hours. The role is based in Normanton, West Yorkshire, within a school environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the classroom teacher and other staff members to support students' educational development.

The salary range for this position is between £11.85 and £14.00 per hour.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
