Our Primary School is a welcoming and inclusive primary school committed to ensuring every child thrives academically, socially, and emotionally. We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and caring Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our Key Stage 1 team and support pupils in reaching their full potential.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about children's learning and development and who can make a positive contribution to our school community.

Salary: £14.75 - £15.75 per hour
Hours: 8.30am – 3.30pm Monday to Friday
Contract: Long-term
Start Date: Monday 2nd November 2026

The Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Support teaching and learning across Key Stage 1.
  • Work with individuals and small groups of pupils to deliver targeted interventions and learning activities.
  • Support pupils with a range of needs, helping them to access the curriculum and make progress.
  • Assist with the planning and preparation of learning resources.
  • Promote positive behaviour and support pupils' emotional wellbeing.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, parents, and external professionals.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Holds a recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Has experience working with primary-aged children, ideally within Key Stage 1.
  • Has a good understanding of the National Curriculum and effective classroom practice.
  • Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Is patient, flexible, and committed to supporting children's individual needs.
  • Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Shares our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
