About the Role
Are you a qualified Level 3 Early Years Practitioner or Teaching Assistant passionate about supporting young children's learning and development? We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of engaging and age-appropriate learning activities across the EYFS curriculum.
- Work closely with the class teacher to support children's learning, development, and individual needs.
- Support children's communication, language, literacy, numeracy, physical, personal, social, and emotional development.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with children, encouraging confidence, independence, and curiosity.
- Provide targeted support to children who may require additional help with their learning or development.
- Promote positive behaviour through a calm, consistent, and nurturing approach.
- Create a safe, inclusive, stimulating, and welcoming learning environment.
- Support children during indoor and outdoor learning, play activities, break times, lunchtimes, and school trips where required.
- Assist with children's personal care and hygiene needs where appropriate.
- Communicate effectively with teachers, SENCOs, parents, carers, and other members of the school team.
- Monitor and provide feedback on children's progress, behaviour, and engagement.
- Support children in developing positive relationships and social skills with their peers.
- Follow school policies and procedures, particularly those relating to safeguarding, child protection, health and safety, and confidentiality.
- Take part in relevant training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
- A recognised Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare, Education, or a related subject.
- A genuine passion for supporting young children's learning and development.
- A caring, patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic approach.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a wider EYFS and school team.
- An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- A commitment to inclusion and ensuring every child is supported to reach their full potential.
- A current enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
