You will play an important role in supporting pupils with their learning, development, and wellbeing, working with individuals and small groups as well as assisting with whole-class activities. • Support the class teacher with the delivery of engaging and effective learning activities across the primary curriculum.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils, helping them to develop their knowledge, skills, and confidence.
• Assist pupils with their learning by reinforcing instructions, explaining activities, and providing encouragement where needed.
• Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where all pupils feel valued and supported.
• Support pupils' social, emotional, and personal development throughout the school day.
• Assist with classroom preparation, displays, resources, and general organisation.
• Encourage positive behaviour and help maintain high expectations for pupil engagement and achievement.
• Support pupils during classroom activities, outdoor learning, playtimes, lunchtimes, and other aspects of the school day.
• Build positive and professional relationships with pupils, teachers, parents, carers, and colleagues.
• Work collaboratively with the wider school team to support the progress and wellbeing of all pupils.
• Contribute to the wider school community through enrichment activities and school events.
• Uphold high standards of safeguarding, behaviour, and pupil wellbeing.

• Holds a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Has experience working with children within a primary school or educational setting.
• Is passionate about supporting children's learning, development, and wellbeing.
• Demonstrates a patient, caring, and nurturing approach when working with pupils.
• Has strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Is confident supporting individual pupils and small groups with their learning.
• Can work effectively alongside class teachers and the wider school team.
• Has a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
• Is reliable, adaptable, proactive, and able to respond positively to the individual needs of pupils.
• Is committed to promoting an inclusive learning environment where every child is valued and supported.
