Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join an Inclusion Resource (IR) Unit within a Sheffield school. This is a fantastic opportunity for a caring, enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant who wants to make a real difference to the lives of pupils with additional needs.

Working as part of a supportive school team, you will provide assistance to pupils within the IR Unit, helping them to access their education, develop their confidence and build positive relationships.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
  • Assisting pupils with their learning and development.
  • Supporting children with a range of additional needs.
  • Helping pupils develop their confidence, independence and social skills.
  • Supporting positive behaviour and classroom routines.
  • Adapting activities and resources to meet individual pupil needs.
  • Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and other support staff.
  • Helping to create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

We are looking for a Level 2 qualified Teaching Assistant who is enthusiastic, patient and passionate about working with children.

You will ideally have:

  • A relevant Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Previous experience working within a school or education setting.
  • Experience supporting children with SEN is desirable.
  • A patient, calm and nurturing approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team.
  • A genuine commitment to supporting pupils' educational and personal development.
