Are you a passionate and confident Level 2 Teaching Assistant with experience working in KS1?

We are currently seeking a dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in the BL3 area of Bolton. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic TA who is confident supporting young children and has a strong understanding of early reading and phonics.

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils across KS1, helping to create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment.

You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting pupils across KS1
  • Working closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging learning activities
  • Confidently delivering phonics sessions
  • Supporting children's reading, writing and early literacy development
  • Providing individual and small-group support where required
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
  • Helping pupils build confidence and independence
  • A recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Previous experience working within a primary school setting
  • Experience working with KS1 pupils
  • Confident delivering phonics
  • A patient, nurturing and enthusiastic approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Able to build positive relationships with children and staff

This is a full-time position starting ASAP, initially running until the end of the academic year, with the potential for the role to continue on a long-term basis for the right candidate.
