About the Role

Are you a caring and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity? We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school, where you’ll play an important role in supporting pupils’ learning, development, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging, inclusive, and effective lessons across the curriculum.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils, helping them to develop their academic, social, and emotional skills.
  • Assist pupils with their learning by explaining tasks, reinforcing key concepts, and encouraging independent learning.
  • Support pupils with additional learning needs, adapting activities and resources where appropriate.
  • Help prepare classroom resources, displays, and learning materials to support effective teaching and learning.
  • Monitor pupils’ progress and provide feedback to the class teacher on their learning, behaviour, and development.
  • Promote positive behaviour and help maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Encourage pupils to develop confidence, independence, and positive attitudes towards learning.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, support staff, parents, and other professionals to support pupil progress and wellbeing.
  • Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times.

Requirements

  • A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills.
  • A patient, caring, and supportive approach to working with pupils.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team.
  • An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • A current enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
