Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

We are seeking an experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Rawtenstall from October through to July.

This is a full-time role supporting pupils across the school, with a particular focus on children with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). The successful candidate will be confident working with pupils with a range of additional needs and committed to helping every child reach their full potential.

  • A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience delivering and supporting phonics interventions.
  • Previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Experience working with pupils who have EHCPs.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A patient, nurturing and proactive approach to supporting learning.
  • Providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils with additional needs.
  • Delivering phonics interventions to support early reading development.
  • Supporting children with EHCPs both academically and emotionally.
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning strategies.
  • Promoting a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
