Learning Support Mentor

We're looking for a Learning Support Mentor to join the Provision Unit at one of our partner secondary schools in Rochdale this September.

This role is all about building relationships. You'll be working with students who need a little extra support, whether that's helping them manage their emotions, encouraging them to engage with their learning, or simply being a consistent, positive role model throughout the school day.

You'll spend your time supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, working alongside the school's pastoral and SEN teams to help young people overcome barriers and get the most out of school.

We're looking for someone who is calm under pressure, approachable and isn't afraid of a challenge. Experience supporting young people with SEMH, SEN or challenging behaviour would be a real advantage, but above all we're looking for someone who genuinely wants to make a difference.

• Experience working with young people, ideally in a school or similar setting
• Confidence supporting students with additional needs or challenging behaviour
• A patient, resilient and positive attitude
• Someone who can build trust and be a strong role model
