Are you passionate about supporting young people and helping them reach their full potential?

We are working with a number of welcoming and inclusive secondary schools across Bath and the surrounding areas who are looking to appoint dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to support students who require additional help with their learning, wellbeing, and development.

This is an incredibly rewarding opportunity to become part of a supportive school community where every student is encouraged to succeed, regardless of the challenges they may face.

Whether you have previous school-based experience or come from a background in care, youth work, coaching, mentoring, psychology, residential support, or SEND services, we would love to hear from you.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, SENDCOs, and pastoral teams to support students both inside and outside the classroom.

You may provide:

  • 1:1 support for individual students.
  • Small group intervention sessions.
  • Support for students with SEND, Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
  • Behaviour and emotional wellbeing support.
  • Assistance with classroom activities to promote engagement and confidence.
  • Support with literacy, numeracy, and academic development.
  • Encouragement for students to become more independent learners.

No two days are ever the same, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys building relationships and making a genuine impact every day.

We're keen to hear from individuals who:

  • Have a genuine passion for supporting young people.
  • Are patient, resilient, and empathetic.
  • Can build positive and professional relationships with students.
  • Have strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Are confident supporting students with additional needs.
  • Can remain calm and adaptable in challenging situations.
  • Have experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable individuals (desirable but not essential).

Bath is home to a range of highly regarded secondary schools that pride themselves on inclusion, strong community values, and excellent support for both students and staff.

By joining one of these schools, you can expect:

  • A friendly and supportive working environment.
  • Ongoing CPD and training opportunities.
  • Valuable SEND and behaviour management experience.
  • Opportunities to progress into teaching, pastoral, or specialist support roles.
  • Experienced leadership teams committed to staff development.
  • The chance to positively influence young people's educational journeys.

This role is particularly suited to:

  • Psychology Graduates
  • Criminology Graduates
  • Education Graduates
  • Youth Workers
