Teaching Personnel is recruiting a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist SEN School and College in Bury. This full-time opportunity involves supporting learners aged 11-19 with a range of additional and complex needs across both secondary and post-16 settings.
No two days are the same. You'll play a vital role in helping students develop academically, socially, and emotionally while encouraging greater independence and life skills.
Providing tailored 1:1 and small-group support
Encouraging student engagement, confidence, and participation
Supporting learners with a variety of SEN and complex needs
Assisting with personal care when required, always maintaining dignity and respect
Using positive behaviour management strategies to support challenging behaviours
Helping students develop communication, social, and independence skills
Creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Working closely with teaching staff and wider support teams to ensure the best outcomes for every learner

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
