Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Reading. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils' learning across the curriculum.
  • Work one-to-one and in small groups to help children achieve their academic goals.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
  • Support pupils with additional learning needs, including SEND requirements where appropriate.
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupil confidence and independence.
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and school staff.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential).
  • Is patient, caring, and enthusiastic.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Can work effectively as part of a team.
  • Is adaptable and able to meet the varying needs of pupils.
  • Holds a relevant qualification in education, childcare, or support work (desirable).
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
