Teaching Personnel is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist Secondary SEN School and College in Bury, supporting learners aged 11-19. This rewarding role provides the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students as they develop academically, socially, and emotionally.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and wider support staff to:
⭐ Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support
⭐ Help students engage with learning and achieve their individual goals
⭐ Support communication, social development, and emotional wellbeing
⭐ Encourage independence and essential life skills
⭐ Assist with personal care where required, ensuring dignity and respect at all times
⭐ Build positive and trusting relationships with students
⭐ Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
⭐ Celebrate progress and achievements, no matter how big or small

Experience working with children, young people, or individuals with SEN is desirable but not essential. We welcome applicants from education, care, youth work, support work, and similar backgrounds.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
