Teaching Personnel are recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and specialist Secondary SEN School in Bury, supporting students aged 11-19 with a range of additional needs.

This is more than a classroom role. You'll be a mentor, role model and source of encouragement, helping students build confidence, independence and essential life skills every day.

Working alongside teachers and support staff, you will:

⭐ Support students on a 1:1 and small group basis
⭐ Encourage engagement, learning and participation in lessons
⭐ Assist with communication, social and emotional development
⭐ Provide personal care support where required, ensuring dignity and respect at all times
⭐ Help students develop independence and self-confidence
⭐ Build positive and trusting relationships with young people
⭐ Create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
⭐ Celebrate every achievement, big or small

Previous experience working with children, young people or within SEN settings is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
