Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and resilient Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in North Manchester. This rewarding opportunity involves supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them develop confidence, emotional resilience, and positive attitudes towards learning.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who require additional emotional and behavioural support throughout the school day. You will play a vital role in helping children regulate their emotions, engage positively in learning, and develop strong social skills.
You will become a trusted adult figure, providing guidance, reassurance, and consistency while helping pupils navigate challenges both inside and outside the classroom.
✅ Provide tailored support for pupils with SEMH needs
✅ Build positive, trusting relationships that encourage engagement and progress
✅ Support emotional regulation and social development
✅ Use effective de-escalation strategies to manage challenging behaviours
✅ Deliver focused 1:1 support and intervention sessions
✅ Work collaboratively with teachers and wider school staff
✅ Create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
✅ Encourage independence, confidence, and positive decision-making

✔ Experienced in SEMH, SEN, youth work, care, coaching, or similar support roles (desirable)
