You'll become an important part of the classroom team, working closely with teachers and supporting pupils to get the very best from their education.

💫 What You'll Be DoingEvery day will be different. You could be:

• Supporting the teacher with engaging lessons and classroom activities.
• Working one-to-one or with small groups of pupils.
• Helping children strengthen their reading, writing and maths skills.
• Providing additional support to pupils who need extra encouragement.
• Helping children become more confident, independent learners.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and creating a welcoming classroom atmosphere.
• Supporting pupils' social, emotional and personal development.
• Preparing classroom resources and helping lessons run smoothly.
• Building positive relationships with pupils and school staff.
• Providing feedback to teachers about pupils' progress and engagement.
• Helping create an inclusive environment where every child feels supported and valued.

You don't need to be the finished article – we're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with children and wants to make a positive impact.

You'll ideally have:

• A recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Previous experience working with children in a school, nursery or educational setting.
• A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
• Confidence working with individuals and small groups.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A calm, nurturing and adaptable approach.
• The ability to build positive relationships with children and colleagues.

✅ Essential RequirementsTo be considered, you must have:

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant equivalent.
• At least 6 months' UK experience working with children.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Smile Education.
• Two years of employment and/or education references.
• At least one reference relating to working with children.
• The right to work in the UK.
