Learning Support Assistant New

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistants to join a specialist SEN school supporting children and young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), learning difficulties, and associated social, emotional, and communication needs.

This is a highly rewarding role where you will work closely with students both inside and outside the classroom, helping them to overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.

The Role:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with autism and learning difficulties.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and accessible lessons.
• Support students with their academic, social, emotional, and communication development.
• Encourage positive behaviour and help students develop independence.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to help them feel safe, supported, and motivated.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and other professionals to meet individual learning needs.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Has experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults.
• Has a patient, resilient, and empathetic approach.
• Understands or has an interest in autism, learning difficulties, and additional needs.
• Can remain calm and positive in challenging situations.
• Is passionate about supporting young people to succeed.
• Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
